What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

Very pretty, and in my Mum’s favourite colours. I had to ask Mum what her favourite colour was when I was going to make them a quilt, and I had never noticed a preference in what colours she wore or what colours she used to decorate the house, but pretty much all the colours she used work well with purple.

Still pretty, although a little less space for quilting to be a feature.

I started this project file to challenge myself to design something outside my comfort zone. I think I moved the comfort zone because I love some of the designs I found by playing with some weird looking blocks along with some pretty colours.

Love the applique blocks, not so much the pieced blocks, though the resulting designs are OK.

The first design is my favourite of today’s selection.

I think I might have to play with some different pieced blocks, and sometime in the not to distant future because there are no more designs in this project file, but I think I will keep the same colouring for the applique blocks.

I think should be able to find something a bit more romantic than those darts for the filler blocks!

Dainty, and I like it too

Two very similar designs today … I thought this one was too busy in the corners, so tried to simplify the corners.

I prefer how it was to start with!

Today’s designs use the same pieced blocks as yesterday’s designs and the applique blocks appeared two days ago … now I am mixing them up!

Both designs are interesting, but I like the second best.
